This little mister has been with us for only three months, but it seems like he has been around much longer than that. The reason why is that he belongs with us. It's as simple as that.
Ever since I found out I was having another boy back in February I have gotten many different responses when I tell people I'm the mom to 4 boys. Most people laugh and think it is funny. I'm fine with that. I think it is rather humorous myself. It is the ones that say "I'm sorry" or give me looks of pity that irritate me. Why are you sorry, I'm not. That's what I want to say, but I generally just smile and move on.
Sure there are times that I wish there was a girl in the mix. At times I wonder who I will give my wedding dress to and some items that were given to me by my mother and grandmothers. I also will not have a mother daughter relationship with my own daughter. I will have to rely on my boys to marry some great girls for that! But all in all how can I be unhappy with four wonderful boys that have been given to me? It's impossible. I love being a mom to all boys. It's chaotic and loud most of the time, but as my grandma has often told me "You wouldn't want it any other way."
We having a saying around our house that I find myself repeating to my boys when they aren't satisfied with what they have. "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." I guess it is just more gratitude for what I have rather than what I don't have.
Little Chasey just fits and quoting one of my favorite movies "I wouldn't trade him for a million girls."

Tiera. Kris showed me your blog and I am loving it! Your little Chase is just about a month younger than Paige and such a doll. I also love hearing about your toddler and his energy. Jane got into the desatin once after nap time....
LOVE the blog and catching up on the Kimballs
Chase is such a cute baby. All your boys look like eachother, and they all love eachother. It's so wonderful to know that they have such an awesome mother who takes great care of them, and caters to them. They will grow up just fine, and marry some wonderful women. You have set the bar high for them. You will have daughters (in laws). I'm glad you are happy with the boys you have. They are absolutely wonderful. We have that same saying in our house too. Funny how it keeps popping up all the time. And it works too. None of the kids throw a fit after everyone chimes in and says it. Be proud fo your four boys. You have done a marvelous job with them!!
Who would want a million girls?
It took a minute of brain racking but finally I remembered... Anne of Avonlea!! You know, I am finding the older my boys get, the more they (can) act like gentlemen and do nice things to show me respect. I love having them help bring in the groceries, open doors and treat like a queen. I love how I am their favorite girl in the world and they think I'm beautiful. Boys are lots of fun!
Oh yea, and which boy was which in your earlier post?
Wow Sharon I am impressed. You figured out the movie! It is one of my all time favorites. Sorry about not following up on the other post. I'm a little spacey these days. They are Chase, Bennett, Owen and Taylor in that order. A lot of people have told me they think Chase looks like Owen. I noticed that Carrie posted a comment on my blog. Will you let her know I would love to check hers out if she would invite me?
See you on Saturday for the shower.
