Day in the Life - - Day 4 Saturday 18th

Two boys that did not want to clean their room this morning even with my help. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth. "I didn't take the books down." "It's too hard."

Don't let this smile fool you. He was quite grumpy putting up the closet doors in the bedrooms today. Half of them didn't fit, so he had to cut them.

Taylor and I tackle the garden. We (more like I) gathered up all of the dead vines and piled them up. Taylor and I then picked up all the hundreds of little cherry tomatoes on the ground. Taylor was definitely grumbling about this chore. "Why doesn't Bennett have to do this?" "Why does Bennett get to go with Dad?" "It's not fair."

Bennett and Scott leave to run some errands, eat lunch and have 1 on 1 time.

Taylor got invited to a friend's house a few streets away. I have started letting him ride his bike there. The problem is, he is suppose to call me when he gets there, but often times he forgets and then gets in trouble. We solved this problem by tying a twistie around his finger so that it reminds him to call when he gets there. It works perfectly.

Scott works on painting some closet doors. When Owen saw that he was wearing a mask he said, "Dad wearing a Who-Pa?" It took me a few minutes to figure out what he was talking about. Can you guess if I give you the hint that it has something to do with Star Wars?

We have seen about 3 garden snakes today. This one Bennett spotted. Owen found one under the van in the driveway and Taylor saw one in the compost bin. Owen wanted to touch it and Bennett was a little iffy. Notice that Owen has no pants on. He had a bad day today going to the bathroom in the toilet. He was way too distracted playing outside. The snake was discovered after he peed his pants and I took them off and before I could get new ones on him. Perfect placement of his hand don't ya think?

One of our neighbor kids came over and was telling Bennett that he likes to go around and smash pumpkins. This worried Bennett quite a bit so he hauled all of them inside this afternoon so they would be safe.

Papa John's pizza for dinner. Nice and greasy.

Taylor drooling over a Lego catalog.

Not feeling too well this evening. He may have a little fever - his first one. :(

Out in 60 seconds.

Not quite out in 60 seconds.
