Day in the Life - - Day 1 Wednesday 15th

I have been running around all day today. And if I wasn't running around, I was driving around.

And because I am ready for bed at this point, you will be getting a boring hour by hour summary today.

Scott had an early morning meeting and my carpool was off today. So by 8:00 am Taylor is dropped off at school with the remaining sleepy boys in tow.

When I am driving in my car in the mornings I usually listen to 101.9 the end with Chunga, Cort and Chelsea. Don't tell Scott but lately I have been tuning into 1160 am (the old people station) on occasion to see what is going on with the economy and the presidential election.

I always read at least a portion of the paper with my breakfast. As of late it is oatmeal with brown sugar sprinkled on top.

Bennett and Owen decide to play "Home Depot." I'm not sure how Home Depot fits in, but the game is to tear down all of the books and then put them back on the shelf. Fine by me. I do some laundry and put together some Lego 4 wheelers for the boys.

I help Bennett with his homework. He again asks for an apple to eat, promises to eat the entire thing and then does not.

Drop Bennett off at Kindergarten and head down to Costco with Owen and Chase.

Talk to Jaron for a few minutes and then buy a boat load of food at Costco. My find for the day were these delightful ginger cookies. I'm not a gingerbread cookie fan, but these practically melt in your mouth and taste fabulous with milk. Don't you love the samples they give out.

Drop food off at home, eat my lunch, feed Chase and back up to the school to pick up the boys.

I take the boys over to Arctic Circle for an ice cream cone. Taylor had a bad day yesterday, so I put a note in his lunch today telling him we would go get ice cream after school.

Then back home for a few minutes and off to take Bennett to Tae Kwon Do.
While he is there I run to Smith's, the dry cleaners and the vet to pick up some over priced medicated shampoo for our dog that has some mystery skin problem.

Once we are home I veg in front of the TV for an hour willing myself to get up and fix some dinner. The menu for tonight is grilled cheese, yogert and applesauce. Taylor likes to help me cook, so he was in charge.

After dinner Taylor does his homework while I clean up the kitchen. Scott left at 4:00 this afternoon to hike the Y with the Scouts.

At this point the camera is forgotten. I load up the car with all the boys and take Taylor over to Tae Kwon Do. Before I even get out of the parking lot he calls me and tells me he forgot his belt. So I drive home to get it and drive back. Then instead of driving home again and hoping that Scott can pick him up on his way home from the hike we sit in the parking lot. I feed Chase and Bennett and Owen watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory until he is done.

It has been a long day. Luckily they are not all this crazy. Till tomorrow... Good night.

Wow, what a day. You do just about as much driving as I do. Don't you wish sometimes you can just take a nap in the back seat for a while. I sure do. I look forward to reading up on the rest of your week. This is fun. Thanks!
