Happy Birthday Ben Ben!

Continuing on with the no birthday parties this year, Bennett chose McDonalds for his dinner and the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point for his activity. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday present he responded with the usual request for Lego Star Wars. I decided to ignore this and buy him a scooter instead. Frankly I am sick of Legos and sick of Star Wars. He was thrilled and has been happily scooting ever since.

Since I failed miserably at decorating Taylor's cake I took it easy and sprinkled letters on top of Bennett's. I asked him what he wanted and he said he wanted a B for BYU and Bennett, a T for Taylor, S for Scott etc. So that is what I did. It was no beauty but he thought it was great. I'm keeping it simple all around if you can't tell.

Even though he growing up so incredibly fast I hope his sweetness and sense of humor stick around for a long time!

The best parties are those that leave mother's nerves intact. Enjoy simplicity while you can.

Happy Birthday Bennett. Hope you had a good one. I think I may take a lesson from this no birthday parties this next year. Sounds good to me.
