Owen's Big Boy Bed

Since baby #4 is due to take up residence in the crib in a few months, we thought it was time to start working with Owen on sleeping in a regular bed. We thought we should do it sooner rather than later so that Owen forgets that it is his crib and won't get worked up when this foreign baby all of a sudden kicks him out. There is enough sibling rivalry as it is. He has spent 3 nights in it so far. I think this new found freedom is a bit too much. Several times we have found him either in the hall or sitting on the floor in his bedroom crying. He doesn't quite know what to do with himself. However, there have been a few times when he knows exactly what to do with himself when left alone in his room. He tears it apart. Books and clothes everywhere! During the day Bennett and Owen have decided that it is a good trampoline and spend hours running down the hall and jumping on it. I guess I should stop this unruly behavior, but at this point if they are playing happily together I have no complaints.

Transitions. Don't you love transitions?!? At least you took the plunge. I'm still too scared to take the transition away from the bottle and the pacifier. I enjoy them as much as he does and isn't that what life is all about "joy"? Man are that they might have joy. Your joy is two little boys playing peacefully. Joy!
