It worked!

Now I am not recommending breaking a kid's arm to get rid of thumb sucking, but if it accidentally happens, thank your lucky stars! It appears that the thumb sucking habit is officially broken. I did go out and buy Bennett a bunch of Power Rangers. He got one for every three days he did not suck his thumb. If I caught him sucking, then I would take them all away. He did great! I think the hardest part on my half was trying to explain to a four year old what every three days meant. He wasn't too thrilled about the wait time. In fact, he was trying to convince me that he could trade in his old Power Ranger for a new one, so he didn't have to wait the required time. That didn't fly.

That's awsome! I don't have to worry about the thumb sucking thing, but Andrew is forever chewing and sucking on his shirt sleeves and neck. The sleeves are all shredded as he bites and rips them and we often have to throw them away. We're offering a light saber. That helps a little. And he broke his leg last summer.... oh well.
