Martin Luther King Weekend

Several weekends ago, we took a short little trip down to St. George for a soccer tournament for Taylor.  We were hoping to escape the bitter cold and sunless days.  We were somewhat successful in this goal.  Although I wouldn't call it toasty warm down there, is was certainly warmer than up here and the sun was out!

We managed to take a couple of hikes - One in Coral Canyon and the other to see some petroglyphs. The weather was pretty ideal for hiking.

What wasn't ideal was watching Taylor's soccer games.  The games were in Mesquite in a wind tunnel, I'm sure.  A few of his games were bitterly cold.  The good news is that I had what I affectionally call my magic blanket that kept me warm throughout the games.  I love this blanket.

Between working at Jiffy Lube and the competitiveness of getting on a Lone Peak soccer team, I'm thinking Taylor's high school soccer career may be coming to a close.  I've watched a lot of his games and will really miss going to them.  He has developed a good set of friends on his team.  They have played together for a long time.

Thanks for the pictures, Mom.

Great photos. You need to share the name of the super blanket.

I actually missed watching soccer when my fan days came to a close. I can easily watch a soccer game on TV or in a park. I grew to really like the sport.
