Typical Bennett

I snapped this picture of Bennett the other day right before bedtime.  There are many things in this picture that describe Ben Ben.

Stuffed Animals - Bennett has always loved stuffed animals.  He has a ton of them and until about 4 months ago would sleep with all of them in his bed.  It got to the point where there was no room for him.  We have since put his collection elsewhere in his room, but he still keeps a few on his bed.  You can see a Wampa and Chewie keeping watch.

Blankets - Ben Ben is also a blanket boy.  He loves the blanket that his Aunt Emily gave to him on his 8th birthday.  But if you look closely you will see a smaller blue blanket on top of that.  That is from his original baby blanket that he used to carry around with him years ago.  He still has a small square that he sleeps with.

Legos on the nightstand - Bennett is our Lego master.  He loves to create all sorts of buildings and vehicles with our enormous collection.  There are always some on his nightstand.

Army guy on the nightstand - Bennett also loves anything army.  He loves to read books about planes and he also likes his army men.  Right now he is building a model A-10 Warthog with Scott.

Drawing - Bennett enjoys drawing.  You can see a black plane on the top right hand corner of the picture.  He drew a bunch of these planes, cut them out and taped them to his wall.  A nice battle scene.

Green polka dot monster - This was a Christmas gift to Bennett from his best friend Max.  They love to play with each other and they get along very well.  Bennett is a very social guy.

Books - Bennett was a little slow to enjoy reading, but last Fall he discovered the original Hardy Boy books and then he was hooked.  He loves to read before bed.

Sunflower Seeds on the nightstand - Bennett has also discovered his love of Sunflower seeds.  More likely, he loves salty foods.   He loves to take a cup down with him and eat away while he reads.

What a cute kid. Very Scott right? He has all his loves in his little corner of the world.

He sounds like a great future Dad. Calm, normal male, creative, and enjoys simple pleasures.
