I don't know if a light saber would qualify as a classic toy, but in our house it does. It is one of the few toys that never seems to loose it's appeal. They are always played with and very rarely are they forgotten for more than a day or two. And the best thing about them is that they are cheap and easily replaceable!

I agree! And it seems each one has a character or personality that goes with it. (Obe Wan, Luke...) Taylor is getting so tall!
Motion seconded. When you have boys, the light sabers are a MUST. The fun part has been teaching them how to pronounce it. We get anything from life savers to light savers. Once they got the "saber" part, it's been mostly correctly pronounced :)
The force is with us as well. We own 3 ourselves. We just keep them away from our cousin Charlie. He has quite the wicked arm.
